No. 01 — About 会社案内

A Kobe trading house, built on seventy years of keeping promises

神戸から太平洋へ、70年の信頼。

Shinyo Koeki was founded in 1952 in Kobe, one of Japan's great port cities. For more than seventy years, our business has followed the same simple course: find superior products, stand behind them, and deliver them across the Pacific.

We are a one-stop trading partner. Foods and confectionery, generators, water and electrical systems, hotel equipment, industrial machinery, IT solutions, regulatory support — if an island community needs it, we source it, ship it, and see it through. Our suppliers span Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, France, Chile, and beyond.

We are small by design. Led by President Sanyo Yamamura, our Kobe office works with the same makers and the same island customers year after year. Ships arrive. Paperwork clears. Phones get answered. That is the kind of trading house we choose to be.

  • AReliability 信頼の実績

We quote carefully, ship on schedule, and stay reachable long after the invoice is paid.

  • BNetwork 太平洋の販売網

Decades-deep relationships with Japanese makers on one side of the ocean, and eighteen Pacific markets on the other.

  • CHeritage 神戸の商社の伝統

Seventy years of Pacific trade from the port of Kobe, carried forward one relationship at a time.

  • DBilingual Desk 日英対応

Every inquiry — English or Japanese — is handled by the same desk, so nothing is lost in relay and nothing waits on translation.

Message from the President 代表メッセージ
Our business is a series of promises kept: take the order, choose good products, load the ship, and see them to the island. Keeping each promise, one at a time, is what seventy years of trust across the Pacific is built on. We are not a large company — which is exactly why you will always know the person you are dealing with. Please, talk to us.

2

Quotation & Proposal

お見積り・ご提案

We confirm specifications, select the right products, and return a quotation. Where our maker network offers a better fit, we propose alternatives alongside it.

3

Order & Contract

ご契約・ご発注

When the quotation suits you, we settle the terms and confirm your order. Until this point, there is no obligation on your side.

4

Arrangement & Shipping

手配・検品・船積み

We procure, inspect, and load your goods for shipment. Export documentation is handled on our side.

5

Delivery & Follow-up

お届け・アフターフォロー

Your order arrives — and the same desk stays reachable afterward. Many of our trading relationships simply continue from here, order after order.

Request a Free Quotation Step 1 is free — reply within 2–3 business days.

Example — how a first order plays outFor illustration only

Suppose a hotel group in Guam writes to us with one mixed request: confectionery for guest rooms, a silent-type generator, and spare batteries.

  1. 1The whole request arrives as a single message through our form on Monday. Product names and rough quantities are enough to begin.
  2. 2Within 2–3 business days, a free quotation comes back — with alternatives from our maker network wherever they fit better.
  3. 3If the numbers work, we settle the terms and confirm the order. Until this point, there is no cost and no obligation on your side.
  4. 4We procure and inspect the goods, prepare the export documents, and ship from Kobe. Timing varies by product and destination.
  5. 5The goods arrive in Guam — and the same person who answered the first message stays your contact for follow-up and repeat orders.

A real first order begins the same way: one message through the form below. Request a free quotation →

Sourcing 調達

Sourced across eight countries and more

The right product is not always made in Japan — so we look further. Our sourcing network covers Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, France, Chile, and beyond. Whatever the origin, the standard is the same: quality we can put our name behind, at a price that works for your market.

No. 05 — History 沿革

Seven decades on the Pacific

1952年から続く、太平洋との歩み

Since 1952, the routes have changed — the way we do business has not.

The port of Kobe has been open to the world for more than 150 years. Our seventy belong to that history.

  • 1952昭和27年

Daiichi Shoji — the forerunner of Shinyo Koeki — is founded in the port city of Kobe; the first exports ship to the islands of the South Pacific.

  • 1959昭和34年

The company takes its present name, Shinyo Koeki Co., Ltd., and opens a Tokyo branch.

  • Shōwa era昭和期

Exports of Panasonic home appliances become a mainstay of the trade.

  • Expansion昭和〜平成期

Business grows beyond Japan–Pacific routes: Korean goods, Thai canned fish, Indonesian and Philippine pulp, and trade with China and Hong Kong. Indonesian rattan furniture and Korean outdoor goods reach Japanese buyers.

  • Offices札幌

A Sapporo branch opens, extending the company's reach.

  • 2005平成17年

The Tokyo and Sapporo branches close; head-office functions are consolidated in Kobe.

  • Today現在

A one-stop Kobe trading house in its eighth decade — supplying Japan's ODA-related projects and serving eighteen Pacific markets with the same quiet consistency it started with.

Q2Which languages do you work in?

Japanese and English — and both are handled by the same desk, so you deal with one contact from inquiry to delivery.

Q3Which regions do you serve?

Our work centers on 18 Pacific markets — from Hawaii, Guam and Micronesia to Fiji, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia and the United States. For destinations beyond these, please consult us.

Q4What products do you handle?
